FIAT 131 Abarth Rally OLIO FIAT 1:24
SKU: 3667
The Fiat 131 Abarth was created on the basis of the two-door sedan. Abarth’s development involved many interventions such as the lightening of the body, the creation of larger wheel arches, the adoption of air intakes on the bonnet and sides to optimize the cooling of the mechanics. The Fiat 131 Abarth used a longitudinal 4-cylinder in-line front engine with a light alloy head and 4 valves per cylinder. Built starting in 1976, it was used in the World Rally Championship where it won three constructors’ world championships, an FIA Drivers’ Cup and a drivers’ world championship. It took part in international competitions until 1982 when it was replaced by Lancia brand cars. Some liveries, characterized by the sponsors of the period, have become iconic in the history of “off road” car competitions.
